When I look at my stats, it becomes quite clear, people like nail art and words of wisdom a lot and… HIPSTERS! I am not quite sure why. Maybe they want to become hipster or they want to laugh at them. Who knows?

So, I have, once again, been thinking about the whole hipster thing. Normally, I just say, I dislike them. But that’s not all true. I do dislike the people moving in ‘my’ part of town, making my rent go up and up and up and.. you know. Gentrification is a thing around here. I lived here for 5 years and still, I am a part of the gentrification myself. I could see and feel the change here. There’s more and more people out there on ‘my’ streets drinking fancy organic lemonade and soy latte…

But how am I different? I came across this Hipster Bingo on another blog (it’s in German):

I do have the chunky plastic-frame glasses and some chucks.. not enough to be hip! Phew. Haha. Please someone tell me, why these hipsters who started out like most other subcultures, making a statement, being different, are now so uniformed. (Is that even a word?)

I can relate to some of their style aspects, but other than that, I just don’t get it.
